"Kingdom of Heaven" Review

"Kingdom of Heaven"

Spoilers ahead

This week I will be reviewing "Kingdom of Heaven"
"Kingdom of Heaven" Is a story of chivalry and lost faith, the story is set on the dawn of third crusade. The story begins in France with Balian of Ibelin a humble blacksmith, grief stricken by the suicide of his wife, a company of crusaders pass through his village and  offer him a chance to redeem himself and the soul of his wife by going to the holy land, Jerusalem. As it happened to be the leader of the crusaders is Balian's father who came in search of him. After a long journey Balian makes it to Jerusalem. He meets the king of Jerusalem Baldwin IV and he quickly begins to understand the fragile peace Baldwin holds with the Saracen king Saladin and the constant threat from zealots on both sides to begin war anew.
Kingdom of heaven is a very fictionalized account of the actual events that transpired in between the second and third crusades. Historical inaccuracies aside the movie a great watch. The acting was stellar everyone. The sets and props were amazing the movie visuals were stunning and immersive  The battle scenes were very well done and expansive. The films length was a little staggering but all the way through I was thoroughly entertained, I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a quasi historical film, medieval with some good action.

"The Taking of Deborah Logan" Review

"The Taking of Deborah Logan"

Spoilers Ahead

As you can tell from the heading this time I will be reviewing the "The Taking of Deborah Logan".
"The taking of Deborah Logan" is a found footage horror film. It was a remarkably entertaining watch and genuinely scary film. The story follows a documentary crew making a film about the effects of Alzheimer's on Deborah Logan's physical and mental state, many strange happenings occur and the film crew becomes weary, as time goes on it becomes apparent that there is something more sinister at work within Deborah than just her disease. The taking of Deborah Logan is a superb movie, the acting was extraordinary believable. One of the most peculiar parts of this film was the found footage aspect, it has to be the least shaky found footage film I've ever seen. The film had me on the edge of my seat and the longer I watched the more I was engrossed this was never a boring moment for me while watching.  The taking of Deborah Logan was an all around great movie the acting was solid and realistic ,It as genuinely thrilling and scary. I would  recommend this to any horror movie fan it is a gem in a sea of mediocre films.

Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice Review

Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice

                                                                     Spoilers ahead
For this review as you can tell from the heading I will be reviewing Batman V Superman. I have very mixed feelings about the movie itself. Despite some of my feelings on it I really enjoyed the watching film, it was entertaining and worth every dime I spent on it.
Batman V Superman is a Superhero movie and follow up to the 2013 movie Man of Steel.
The primary theme of the plot is the  fear that the all powerful hero Superman (Henry Cavill) may turn his back on those he has sworn to protect. Batman (Ben Affleck)vindicated from the  events of the previous movie feels it is his duty to defeat superman or at least prepare in the events he does turn become drunk on power. Throughout the film tensions between Batman and Superman rise and a conflict begins.
Batman V Superman is a superb movie in terms of  special effects and action, the acting is top notch and so is the action, Ben Affleck's batman was a dark and brooding character jaded by his time fighting crime. Acting and action aside were it suffers is the plot. Batman and Superman's conflict is somewhat forced, many central plot points are left unexplained and the ones that are explained are extraordinarily stupid(Que Lex Luther). If you are a person who pays great attention to detail this movie will frustrate you to no end.
All in all though while some of its plot points were annoying, Batman V Superman : Dawn of Justice Never fails to entertain and was an extraordinarily fun movie to watch I would wholeheartedly recommend you to watch it.
